I bought a octopus NW 200. I have never hooked up a skimmer like this before. I wanna run it outside of the cabinet. The directions are a joke. I am not understanding how to set this up. It almost looks like I need another pump but am unsure of the whole thing. If anyone is available tonight "friday" to come over and show me how this thing is supposed to go I will throw you $20 for gas and provide beers. I am not asking you to hook it up and plumb it in for me just show me what goes where and the best way to set this up. Attached are some pics.

Thanks,
Chris

You will need a small feed pump that will "push" water into the top inlet (1 to 1.5 times your water volume). The pump that came with it should connect to the two bottom inlets. If you can't get anyone to come by this evening, PM me and I will be more than glad to stop by and help you tomorrow.

Doh. missed this thread.

I have a mere 295 gph feed pump for my recirculating skimmer. You don't want to feed it too much.

I am using a maxi jet 1200 in the sump to feed my Euro Reef. It is turned down just a bit.
