I just purchased this 210gal and have never had a drilled tank before (always had the annoying hob drain setup). The pics below are what it came with. I'm not sure if I want to use these or make new ones simply because I want the most quiet setup I can get. What style drains would these be and is their a better or quieter way to do it?I believe I have a 1" drain and a 3/4" return in each overflow.

That's an AGA Durso styled standpipe. They work fine. I have them on my 180. They are very similar to the Durso standpipe that comes with the Marineland tanks. To clean it, simply soak it in vinegar water for a day then scrub it.

Edit: What size bulkheads do I need?

I went and measured the bottom of the glass and I measure a 1.75in drain and a 1.5in return. Is that a common size setup for a 210?

That should be able to handle way more flow than I ever plan to run.

How gph is that drain good for?

Man Jorge at pure reef helped me out a lot with plumbing and skimmers and charged basically nothing for parts I needed. Maybe an option for you.

Go to BRS and look at the bulkheads. Each one will show the size of the hole required. Match up the hole requirement with the hole you have and you'll know the size bulkhead to buy.
