Hey y'all, haven't posted in a while because everything's been GREAT with the tank! Me, however, got unemployed via 'outsourcing '...Anyway, I have a couple of little leather corals and they were doing well. I did a water change yesterday and there were a few unmixed crystals of salt that fell RIGHT on them both..I blew it off with water real quick, but afterwards I noticed a long slimy string coming from its mouth. Things seemed ok, but This morning I wake up and they are shriveled up!! I have all the lights on and they seems to be a LITTLE better....here's before and after. Thoughts? I'm just hoping they'll get over it and get healthy again...

It happens. Don't add salt directly to the tank or add it right after you mix it. I mix salt and test salinity and put a heater in my bucket to get the temp right before adding. I think warmer water will help dissolve the salt quicker. Then I usually add to my sump and turn the return on cause my return pump is the same pump I use to pump the new water in. I have two mag 7. Your leathers will bounce back after a day or two. Another thing is make sure you have good flow. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure those are mushrooms not leathers.. They will prolly be fine either way just wait it out
