I have a redsea 625 XL (165 gal) tank, I swapped out the return pump on it from reefrun (2100gph) to vectra l2 (3250 gph) because I wanted everything in my system to be controllable from apex.

Now the water level is display is about a inch lower than what reefrun was able to push out . And the overflow is really noisy. The only way to get the water back to the level and get it quiet down is if I run the pump at 80%. The corals are not able to handle that much flow.

Is this a problem with vectra or did I got the wrong pump for the size?

Adjust the main drain and retune the pump. You have to close the valve a little bit. Do a tiny bit at a time, let it sit for at least 10 mins.

You have 165 Display and saying your corals can’t handle the flow coming from your return pump? X.x. Idk….

Point your nozzle to the wall if necessary.
