Can anyone help me figure out what is going on with this tank I recently inherited? There are beautiful corals under what looks like cobweb. How do I get rid of this stuff without hurting the corals? This is a 24g nanocube...

Hard to tell, might be dyno.....

Big water change (you'll find that 9 times out of 10, that's going to be the answer you get, but holds true none the less)

Manual removal of as much crude as possible.

Increase flow

I will start with the water change...I am very new to the hobby...what a way to get started.

Eh, it's not the worst thing in the world, but looks terrible. I've been there, done that, and understand how you feel....

Good luck!

Looks A Case Of Some Bomb *** Chronic To Me...

Hair Algae...tank was left to do it's own thing for a couple of months...I added a clean-up crew. They have worked wonders in less than a week. Still debating on whether or not to just start fresh because there is a lot that has to be done to get it back in shape.:confused2: I will post some pics this weekend.

Way to be on top of it! Keep going. It's always cool to see some before and after pics in a build
