Hey all,

I caught a bunch of hermit crabs in key largo this weekend and while a lot of them are blue legs there are a couple of crabs that I have no idea about. Here is the link to my site with some pictures. They are the last few pictures on the page. I also took some shots of the blue legs so you can see the color difference. My camera isn't very good for these macro type shots so sorry for the bad shots, but hopefully they are good enough. Basically, are these other hermits reef safe? Does anyone know what they are?

Also, the new main shot is the tank with the canopy finally installed. Incredible the difference that good lights make!

bump....because i want to put the crabs in the tank already!!!! sorry, thanks.

Hard to see but does it have yellow on its legs? I caught one with yeelow a few years back while in Daytona. It stayed in my tank for several months. I never saw it bother anything. But it is a risk to put something in that may not be reef safe. Crabs are cheap, corals not so much.

Jorge the pictures are kind of blurry.

Looks like an orange claw (Calcinus tibicen)</em>to me first guy on page:

Depending on how many you have, if you can't ID they may have to be sump dwellers.

Or you can send them to me and let me introduce them to the peacock mantis :D
