I’m brand new to the hobby. I have a friend that is really into it and I caught the bug. Funny thing is I don’t really like fish, but I’m blown away by all the corals.

I watched YouTube videos for about a year before I got my system started. I wasn’t sure I would like it, so I pretty much got everything second hand on FB marketplace.

My tank is 60g with mix of everything I could get my hands on. It’s been running for 2 months and I’m already seeing growth.

I’m excited about joining this community so I can meet new friends and see some amazing tanks.

Welcome aboard! I highly suggest you become a supporting member and try to attend the holiday party at the end of the year.

Welcome! Second hand is a great way to get into the hobby. 60 gallons is a good size also. Another great opportunity to meet members in person and ask questions will be our tour of tanks event that is happening on October 26th.

Update on this tank:

After I got the bigger tank, I moved most of the stuff over and kept the RBTA with this tank.

I want to make it a nem tank.

After feeding it directly for a couple of weeks, it finally split. I’m excited.

What I like about this hobby, is it can be very routine driven. I work from home full time, so I’m always around to take care of the tanks.

I clean the glass every day and do water changes at the same time every week down to the minute.

My OCD helps, the worst part is waiting…
