Welcome! How about telling us something about your setup?

Beyond the hella deals, there is helluva lot information floating around here. Everyone is great about throwing in ideas and experiences to help out (not to mention some extra muscle or a helping hand when needed).

Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome

Ive been into fw for couple years and have decided to move over to the salty side. I converted my 55G over about 4 months ago. Nothing special just yet, just fowlr. Got about 55 lbs of lr, the old lightin from the fw setup (hopefully upgrading in next month to T5's), and the live stock consisting of 1 clown, 1 yellow tail damsel, 1 blue tang, 1 snowflake eel, and 1 flame angel. I think im goin to sell the snowflake cause im worried he might start takin out some of the other tankmates. He eats like a hog. Hopefully when i upgrade my lighting i can start on some beginners corals. Heres some recent pics i took.

The hob filter u see is just for flow, no media.

I didn't have a sump my first 2 years or so, because I wasn't maintaining corals or a heavy bioload. I started with 75# of LR (so we're really close to the same start-up).

Welcome to the hobby and to the ARC.

Yeah once i got my 55 up and running and put all the rock in, ive been looking at my 100G FW tank and saying hmmmm....My 55 with lr just doesnt have the front to back space i want.

Is there a link somewhere on here that list all the LFS through out ATL? I hate ridin that far to a lfs to find out its since closed.

Not all of them, but all of them you need. ;)

In the forum list, choose "sponsor forums". There ya go.
Also you can use the interactive sponsor map since you may not know who is in what area.

thats actually one of the better looking backgrounds i have seen. Nice set up their , it's a goo start.

Click on "Forums" on top of the page...then go to "Sponser Forums". That should help you out. I didn't notice a membership icon by your name...for a low price, you should join ARC and in member discounts at most if not all of the sponsers stores, it will more than pay for itself.

BTW...wc and nice looking setup...keep us posted with "build" pics! We LOVE pics!

Not entirely true there au01st i had a diff profile for a long time maybe even a year. I never made any posts with it but i did read posts from it. I kept trying to make posts with it but something about the conformation thing during sighn up i did wrong. And rules say you can only have one account i know but i couldnt use it and i got tired of not being able to post. I emailed a few from it like columbus reef. My old username was divedeep1689 instead of downtime89 so i have been here longer

ok i just checked i think i drinking to much it feels so much longer ago i made the divedeep one i made it in september.... it feels like it was over a year ago.... time to lay off the alcohol this week......I was drinking my sadness away from the funeral sorry guys i think i have had to much.
