Anyone have a favorite? I used the API for start up but looking for something a little more accurate..

i have red sea and nyos.

personally, i like nyos better because i can't read the different shades of pink in red sea. for nyos, it's shades of orange/yellow, much easier on the eyes.

supposedly Hanna is coming out with their nitrate checker,,,,,but we will see when it gets released.

If I need one before Hanna comes out with their checker I'll have to check out the Nyos.
I can't do most tests because of being colorblind but yellow & orange are fine for me. Sick of having the have my wife or someone else around to do the Red Sea Pro kit.

+1 on the NYOS kit. Having an overhead light helps.

I’ve heard good things about Nyos but haven’t used it yet.

However, I will give another vote for Red Sea. The shades are easy for my eyes to read, and I appreciate the 0.25ppm precision.

So, I ended up going with the Red Sea test. I must say I like it. It also seemed a better bang for the bucks. 100 tests vs. 40 for the Nyos.
Got it from marine depot and it was here the next day, cant beat that.
