Hey all,

We started setting up the 72 bow front yesterday and had the sand cloud until today.

That's when we discovered these 2 critters traveling across the sand. The guy with the "bladder" was moving pretty fast and embedding himself in the sand. About 1/8th of an inch long, clear bladder and dark brown circle with short brown tentacles. Aiptasia?

And this guy looks really wicked under a magnifying glass - I suspect a brittle worm? He's about 1 inch long, orangy red with a dark brown, uneven stripe on his back.

We picked up live rock and some Caulerpa yesterday to put in the tank so they are definitely hitchhikers from one of them.

We took them both out of the tank and put them in a container for the pictures. Just want to make sure I should keep them out.

The nem looks like a little glass anemone the worm is a bristle.

If I catch bristles in my tank they go into the fuge. Pest nems get juiced.

Thanks, Loren. The bristle is in the fuge and the nem is drying out on the counter. I'll make sure he's good and crispy before I toss him.

Sometimes you will these nems and various other types in the fuge.

I leave those alone if they live they live if they don't they don't.
