Hob refugium?

I’m picking up an IM Sr60 and was debating about adding a hob refugium. I’m looking for options and experiences with them any info will help.

Lots of people use Aquaclear HOB filters. It appears Petco still has them on clearance.

I would probably recommend an aquaclear 70 for that purpose. The 110 would be overkill and the other sizes are significantly smaller.

You could also consider repurposing a media caddy or some kind of basket to grow macroalgae directly in the AIO compartment.

I tried that with a different tank and did not have a good result that’s why I was looking at the hob ones.
