Looking for some glass hole saws to cut one holes;). I need a size appropriate for a mag 7 for a return ... And a standard size larger for the drain...

So I guess there are 2 things..
1. What size is appropriate for a mag 7 pump return. (both hole saw and bulkhead)
2. What size hole saw and bulkhead for the return
3. Does anyone have the hole saws I can buy got um;)?

This is for a 40breeder

Thanks b

on my 75dt i used a mag7 with a 3/4 return and 1-1/4 drain but it was a HOB OF. on my 120 i drilled for 1" BH

you can use 1" or 3/4" most people have a hole saw for a 1" BH. which is 1-3/4. ithink it's a 42mm. but if you want 3/4 just reduce it at the BH.

I would not stress the 3/4" vs 1" 1 holesaw is cheaper than 2 holesaws

Well I'll make the Drain a bit larger than the supply.... So I'll need 2 ... Unless I reduce the supply line b4 I get to the bulkhead...

;)

I have a 1 1/2 inch glass holes drain with a 3/4 return on a 40 breeder. Works well. My return pump is Quiet One 3000, had to tone it back some. It has about the same GPH as a Mag 7.

Bulk Reef Supply Sells the hole saws as well. I just bought a 1.5" Schedule 40 glass bit from there.
