This has been doing fine since I got it at the end of June, now all of a sudden this happened, maybe caused by tipping the edge underneath the sand bed? Is there anything I can or should do to stop the spread? Thanks in advance

If it's spreading, you could cut the dead parts away and then dip in Revive or Coral Rx. However, I've had a stunner get a corner covered and once I got it re-secured it ended up growing back over the skeleton that was dead.
