Yesterday I watched in horror as one of my cleaner shrimp shredded my favorite Rock flower anemone to pieces. At first, I thought he was stealing food but no, he was eating him. The anemone ducked into a crevice but the shrimp was not having it. About 2am I was doing a tank check and there he was finishing him off. I switched from pellets to frozen to reign in my nutrients so I guess the new food was harder to get to and less nutrient dense. My 2nd and last Rock Flower has a gaping hole in it. I can't be mad because they are always actively trying to clean my fish. I guess my Rock Flower dreams are over.

And that’s why we won’t have another clearner shrimp. Our killed our green bubble tip along with a frogspawn

I got mine for backup utility purposes but my fish are either quarantined or aquacultured and have never (doesn't mean much considering the other avenues pests can come into the aquarium). I may need to put them on the market. I really want a rock flower garden.
