This looks perfect for my rare ornament macro algae , I've got 4 or 5 slow growing variety that I like to keep away from the fish and crabs and I'd also like the added benefit to the system.
The seller said its only glass on the front so drilling would be easy, I probably wouldn't even use bulkheads , just pvc and silicone , and make a small bean animal or herbie style overflow . Silence is key as this cube is in my bedroom and I don't want to hear a noisy overflow at night.
The idea is to add it on the wall above a 30g cube thats not drilled and already up and running.
It has a single 20" t5 for lighting which will be sufficient , and I have a 4" x4" overflow box to add inside so we dont have a flood from pump failure.
What do yall think , is it doable ?

I think I like the black mirrored glass more than brushed aluminum it would match my bedroom suit and stand well.
They also have a 36" but I think if its too much wider it will look out of place behind the cube.

Another tank.... :)o)

Interesting idea, I think I saw a thread with a a cold water setup do something similar.. maybe it was Stu Wobbe ( Coldwater Marine Aquariums)? It could really look cool.
