my friend has a corner hex how would I go about messuring it to get the amount of gallons

Measure into triangles and find the volume in square inches, then convert to gallons.

Or look it up online if you know the brand.

Well the first method I listed should still work.

A hexagon should be able to be broken into 2 triangles and a rectangle. Find the area of each piece of the puzzle and multiply by the height to get the volume in cubic inches (or centimeters, whatever you're using).

Area of a triangle is .5(length of base*height). The height would be the length from the midpoint of the longest side to the point where the two other sides meet.

ok here are the messurements I got from him thanks

:unsure::unsure: I should have mentioned I was stupid lol

Victor,
You can also do this: measure out 10 gallons of water and dump it into the tank. Measure out how deep the water in the tank is. Divide the depth of the water into the total height of the tank and multiply by 10. Your answer is the volume of the tank in gallons.

Looks to be about 43 gallons if my math and a few assumptions are right.

You know you could just fill 5 gallon buckets with a hose and figure it out with brute force.
