I installed my refugium with return down to my rock section of my sump. If I turn on the powerhead in the fuge, the chaeto breaks up and the little pieces go through my drain down to the sump. My fuge is just a large acrylic tank with a deep sand bed, no baffles,

Problem: If I put a filter before the drain, the fuge could back up (Bad). If I put a filter pad or so in the sump = chaeto in the sump.

What have you guys done to solve this problem? Or do I have to just keep cleaning the loose stuff out until all the debris is clear and the chaeto gets healthy?

Anyone have a refugium/sump with baffles they want to sell that's apprimately 24"L x 14"W x Any" H? Having separate chambers would probably solve the problem as well?

Chris, check with Sal or Mike at SWC. I'm picking up a couple sumps for them this weekend.
