How good is this reactor?

i like the price of this reactor, but i'm concerned about the 1/4'' inlet and outlet. i'm not planning on hooking it up to my ro/di unit to avoid disasters similar to mojos. instead i am going to hook it up to a 15 gal. top off tub, but the problem is what kind of pump would i be able to hook up to it? i guess i could always ask if they could put 1/2'' hose barbs on it instead.

big d i'll take a look into the aqualifter. i also saw that there is a magdrive mini that has a 1/4'' threaded outlet so i'm sure i could get a fitting to put on there.

as for the stirrer type reactors they seem to be fairly more expensive than "maxi-jet" ones. i'm not sure if they really work that much better to justify the price.
