How helpful fans can be

Granted I only have a 20g, this shows how helpful a fan can be at temperature control. Yesterday while feeding and cleaning my daughter accidentally pulled the wire connecting my EB8, where my fan is plugged into, and Apex brain. Later in the day my phone started blowing up with alarms for the temperature going up. Unfortunately I was at dinner so when I got home I plugged everything back up and the fan started right up.

I see similar results with a small fan on both of my 60g systems. When I finally set up the Apex, I was astonished at how effective the fan was at cooling off the system. I knew they worked but seeing the real time results was really insightful.

Yeah it’s very interesting to see the trends of when the fan kicks on to cool the tank. My tank it in the warmest room in the house above our garage. I keep the small ceiling fan on 24/7 during the summer also.
