How long does a diatom bloom last

This is a transfer from my 75 to a 125. Kept as much water as possible, new live sand and 4 new pukani rocks that were cured in acid for 4 months. Have lost 6 fish, puls. zenia, all corals look like they are suffering. Beat the grean hair algae then the diatom bloom set in. My two clams are beautiful.

Alk 9.2 GFO, CARBON, bUBBLEBLASTER 2000 ,UV STERIL.
Nitrate 20 AUTO TOP OFF, sump with cheeto

mag 1150
phosphate .27
Changing water at first every day 20% now every other day 25%

The water isn't what cycles, it's the rocks/sand. Keep the vodka for yourself until the params are back in line. Sounds like your cycle has started over.

Did you bleach the rock after the acid bath (muric?) Or did they go strait to the tank?
Your nitrates and ammonia are realy high there has to be sompthing dieing off in the tank you can run seachem stability and prime and wet skim will help you if you have corals in your tank dose prime slow it can bite you as fast as it can help
I would not dose vodka in till you git your parameters in check check your ro just incase its your filters letting crap through

I agree with all of the above. You are going through a cycle which is why you lost the fish.

When I did my upgrade from the 75 to 120 I only used about 25% of the tank water. I used new live sand and added a 20% cup full of old sand in the sump. I moved my 75# of live rock and then added another 50# of live rock and dosed the stability just like it said on the label and dose every week with WC. </span></span>

whenever you can ,get 2 turbo snails. they ate every diatom I had and my rocks were covered with it
