How long should my actinic and 10,000 K lights be on?

I would like to know what should be the light cycle for my new T-5 light fixture. I am new to reef tanking and would like to know a good light cycle. Also should my actinics come on before my 10,000K or....:unsure:

Wow you are opening up a can of worms!

I expect to see a wide range of answers/opinions.

My light tries to mimic the actual light outdoors adjusted for the change in seasons.

For example Actinics on 7:30/8:00 ish
Then 10,000K about 9
10,000k off 6 or so
Actinics off by 7:30/8 ish

Summer time the 10000k stay on a touch longer and so do the actinics.

Winter time is opposite.

Where I lose it is leap year!

Oh and BTW I don't know crap and for the last few months my lights have been all over the place so my opinion stinks!
