Ok so here we go again with the lighting questions. :) I just got some led panels from my good friend mark. Very nice blue/white ration 1:1 and they are dimmable... not sure the specific name but the model number is ZA120. of Chinese decent I believe. Anyways. I am currently running a Aquatic Life 36" HO T5 with lunar leds on my 46 bowfront. My question is do I need to put both panels I am getting above the 46 or would one be sufficient? I've only got roughly 12 inches in canopy space so they won't be very high off the tank... and I want to make sure I get enough "coverage". Any thoughts?

You will get about 30" of coverage at 12" off the water...give or take. General guide is 24" of coverage per unit. With that being said, I have 2 dimmable MM LEDs over a 60" long tank, but it is a FOWLR.

Couldn't hurt to use both I'd say. I have two about the same size as yours on my 46.

Is this it? Kind of an odd size.

The one in the link has 48 leds not 24. So maybe the one he has is the older one. Not sure I don't know enough about leds to know crap

It's 48. My bad. I had to recheck and it's 48. 24 blue and 24 white... my apologies. Let me ask this. I'm proposing doing one of these in the center of my tank. I have 2 solid blue panels that are only 14 watts with 225 leds. If I place these on both sides of this main panel it should cover the triangular "dead zones" that the main panel doesn't hit. Since it will be on the side I should be ok to do plays and zoas or lowlight corals on the sides of the tank. With my sps and LPS under the main panel?
