I’m trying to decide if I should sign my husband up as a supporting member or just pay the Expo entrance price for him this weekend. I wasn’t sure how often these bigger events happen. Most of the meets are far for us, and my kids who would normally come to Atlanta with us to make a day of it are at the age I’d have to pay for them also (they have no interest in reefing so will sit on there phones) so it all adds up fast or people get left at home. So we won’t be attending a ton of events. I wondered how many times a year these bigger events like the Expo happen? I’d love to hear some feedback!

Thé Expo is an annual event and traditionally ‘the big event’ for the club.
We also have a number of meetings (often with guest speakers), barbecues, visits to area reefing related businesses, etc.
As for the membership, you may not be aware that, supporting members also usually get a 10% discount via our sponsor businesses/stores. So, if you spend $300+ it pays for itself.

The Expo is the only event we charge non members to attend (currently) so cost wise it makes sense to just pay the expo fee. Club Bbq and Holiday party os are to supporting members with Spouses and kids free.
