I set up a TLF Phosban reactor on my 90g tank today, using GFO pellets from Bulk Reef Supply. I remember reading somewhere that I should slowly increase the amount of time the reactor is running over the course of several months in order to reduce the risk of stressing any corals due to the changing phosphate level.
Of course, now that I have my reactor ready to go I can't find those threads. Can someone tell me the recommended initial running time, and when to bump it up until eventually it's running 24hrs/day?
I'm going to connect it to my AquaController and set it to run X hrs per day. Should I start with 2hr per day, then bump it up by an additional 2hrs each week until its running full time? That would take 12 weeks so it sounds about right.
Thanks-
Dustin
