Yes, I've been told clove polyps are a weed, but after a tank crash, it was about the only thing that survived. Now they have moved from my backglass to my rocks and they are expanding. I try to pull them off, but not too successfully. Any home remedies to remove them or kill them back? Thanks in advance.

I do manual removal of bigger patches and kalk paste on remains. Not too great a success with kalk, but it seems I have killed off a couple patches, while others seem to have survived 3 doses. I no longer have a goal of elimination-only a goal of control. I let them grow far too long and had a huge colony on a rock, and even after manual removal of several pounds of polyps the rock is heavily infested, the rock has been migrating around sumps for a while away from display.

'Reef napalm' works better if I'm honesty but it's pretty nasty stuff.
