After my recent nitrAte rise (from 5 to 20, no big deal and corrected now), I've been reconsidering everything I do with my reef...mainly feedings. Based on discussions with a few members, I was feeding the frozen plankton and frozen mysis by just sticking the block to the suction grate of my Koralia and letting it do the work. Maybe 1/2 block of each every few days.
Would it be better to thaw the block in tank water an spot feed with a dropper with the powerheads/pumps off? Or is the "mass distribution" technique just fine? THanks.
