I have a ricordea shroom that split several months ago, and it is growing well, but one thin i did not count on is that one of the shrooms is starting to crowd a fanworm that is living in my live rock. question is, how can i move the shroom without harming it?

thats the only idea i had, but the particular part of rock has good crevices, and what not for the foot to have a great grip. not sure how much trauma the foot can take. when the shroom split several months ago, i think it was as a result of a botched move when i was going from one house to another, and caused it some severe stress. so im kinda worried about it, but i dont want it to grow over the feather guy either.

what ive done is put a spoon in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes and touch the bottom the a shroom with it same like moving a anemone you can cut its foot but you will most likely tare off other parts of its foot on the move if you have never done it before or blow your power head at the foot and it will move. which ever you want to try.

no, the rock is housing the worm, and the shroom on the same piece

i think i will try out the power head idea first, the spoon sounds a bit trickey going to move the power head in a few, and tonight I will post on any progress.

Try clipping the rock itself , it will cut easily and you will have a great glueing piece.
It won't hurt your worm to pull it out for a second , use some side cutters and nip it off.
Good luck
