Hello everybody!

So my 57g tank is yet to come, but I already got some live rocks and live stock from someone here :)

So I got what I think is a maroon clown, but can they have white stripes? The one I had before was a golden stripe maroon... So not sure if this is a regular orange clown or a maroon...

Also can I pair it with any other type of clownfish? Like a one stripe? Or golden striped maroon? If so what do I have to consider when buying it to increase the odds of them liking each other? Color? Size?

Thanks :)

Thank u so much for the info. I really like him but my husband thinks he is too tiny... I guess we will decide in couple of days what to do with him.

Yeah... And if the new one happens to be a big bigger, I guess I can place the bigger one in the tank first and then the smalle one. But how should I do it. How many days should I wait before I introduce the second one? Do u have to place the smaller one in a separate compartment Si they get use to each other? Or do I just let it loose in the tank and leftism find each other?

Also I want to place an. Anemone to host them, is it recommended to place the anemone first or the fish first?

If it is a juvenal then it could still be gold-striped. They retain white stripes until they are about a year old. The person you got it from should be able to tell you. If it is a juvenal and you can get another juvenal a little bigger or a little smaller, put them in together. The larger of the two will become the female and the smaller will be the male.

Thanks guys!!! I'm so excited can't wait to get my new tank tmrw! :)

Yes that is the case. But regardless since I'm transferring everything to a new tank which will require more water I feel safer waiting a bit before the anemone... But I'm still super excited :)
