I have one of the DC pumps arriving today from Aquabuys (thanks Sam!) for me to tinker with. Once I've had a chance to see if they can be run without the controller, I'll post some info. I'm hoping the plug end isn't too proprietary.

I'll try to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow. I've been a bit too busy to muck with the pump and I'm hoping I can find a solution that doesn't involve cutting the factory wiring on the pump.

Heh. 3 months later and I finally found what the plug is used on these. It's a 9006 series plug commonly used for automotive HID lights.

Now I just need to find where I can get one and secure a power supply.

Anyone have access to this kind of thing?
