Hydros just released some fascinating news. They have a new product called the Maven that will test the “Big 5”. I’m excited but I hope it performs better than the x10 and iV combo.

Anyone else excited or will you continue to test using a different method?

Rumors are it costs a grand. We shall see how well it works..but exciting that someone else is making moves beyond neptune. Which, coincidentally, is rumored to have one coming out that tests 3 nutirents.

Yup. Apex is coming out with a new trident that test nitrates and phosphates as well.

I didn’t know that Apex had announced their new tester. I guess I will have to wait to see which one does the best job. I’ve never had any issues with my Trident but the last Hydros controller (x10) I purchased does not work as advertised.

I have also had issues with the X10. Cannot seem to keep air out of the lines (which I stated to be a common problem) and the test vessel has to be cleaned out once a month to prevent a thin layer of film from forming on the probe ends.
