Dont know if this is good or bad. And dont bust me for a crappy pic. I tried more light, less light, flash, no flash, zoom, macro, etc and couldnt get a good image. A little background. This is a 45 gallon tank set up on a closed loop that I use for my water changes. I just close this off, drain the water from it and refill with new water and it slowly gets added to my system. It doesnt have a light on it (until now) and just holds water that flows through the system. I put the light on it and had this stuff in the tank. These look like some kind of pods. Dont have them in the sump or DT that I can see but I have fish in those things. Probably nothing but I am just curious. Thanks.

Hard to tell from the picture but my first guess would be pineapple sponges. Google that and compare to what you have.

Thanks Bud. That seems to be what it is although some of the sponges in the pictures I googled are almost the size of grapes. The concensus is that they are no problem and a good thing to have in your tank. It seems like they are a sign that everything is doing ok. Since these are in a tank that goes unnoticed, I am not going to worry about them. Thanks
