I finally saw it,and caught it!!!!!!!

Well after months of hearing a clicking noise in my tank,I finally saw it and caught it!!:yay::yay::yay:
Anybody need it? It's about 2" long with some brown and purple coloration and one massive claw!!!

I belive it to be a Pistol Shrimp.I saw it's claw,went tank diving and brought it out with a cold water rinse.

It's a pistol shrimp. Great find! I'd keep it if I were you, they're pretty harmless and a whole lot of fun!

IDK,I've had several shrimp,star fish,and snails go missing lately.

Well, the nice thing about pistol shrimp is that they keep your sand super clean and stirred... bad thing about pistol shrimp is that they eat your CUC. Mine prefers scarlet hermit crabs over blue legs. If a coral falls in his reach it goes right into his burrow along with anything else he can find.

Looks like you threw some emerald entree in there with it. Is the big guy eating yet in the frag tank?

The picture of it in the plastic container is just the stuff that came out of the bucket with it when I netted it.(pods,shrimp,etc...)
I plan on trying to feed it this morning.

Get you a yellow watchman Goby and keep the pistol shrimp... They will find each other and move into a burrow together... Very cool to watch...
