I am currently running my 220 with a 50 gallon sump and skimmer to match. I havent dosed anything and was wondering if this is going to be a problem for the future. My corals seem to be doing fine, params are fine ect. I have had the tank up and running for about 4months. Any concerns?? I have also posted some update pictures. This is currently half the tank I really need more rock.

From the looks of it, you only have a couple corals that actually need CA and ALK....so technically if you keep up with water changes and your levels are fine....you shouldn't need to dose. Once you start to add more hard corals, you'll notice your levels starting to drop.

dosing is really only needed with sps tanks, you should be fine just with water changes.

As you get more and more corals the need for dosing will increase. Your salt mix probably has enough in it for what your current tank occupants need. I had the samething going on when I first set my tank up. Now I have more corals in it and the cal and mg are starting to need to be supplemented to maintain desired lvls.

;) This is the reason why I'm doing a softie tank now....no dosing! Well, you still need to check alk, but no needs for CA...water change will take care of that.

Hey, thanks everybody that was quick. I need to find some joes juice to kill off some "green, fake looking bubble tip anenome looking things" any idea on where i can pick some up?

Aquabuys has it, as do some of the other LFS. Can also get it online from marinedepot or dr.fosters. There are other ways that might work if your trying to get rid of aptasia. Boiling water, if there is nothing else on the rock but it you can take the rock out and scrub it off too.
