Hello all, I currently have a 16 gallon tank that is a year old that I am in the process of breaking down because I have ordered a new CADlight tank which should be here in a couple of weeks. In my old 16 gallon tank, I have a yasha/pistol pair and a pair of b/w oc. clowns. I will be moving at the end of December about 4 hours away. My question is, should I set up my new tank and let it cycle now so I can move my fish into that one once I move, or, should I sell my fish and keep the new tank apart until I move and start from scratch in Janurary? I kinda want to keep my fish, but if the move will be too much for them and there is a chance I will loose them, then I want to sell them. Keep in mind also that I have never moved a tank/fish before. What makes the most logical sense?

I would sell the yasha /pistol pair to me for cheap and wait till January!!! J/K :)

Seriously I would probably wait until January to setup the new tank and just keep your 16 gallon running till then...I dont see any need to sell your fish, they will be fine. Moving a 16 gallon tank wont be bad at all...just use a few salt buckets to put your livestock in, and put it all back together when you get to the new house. Or you could find someone to hold your fish until the new tank cycles..

ditto the fish will take a move no problem, think about all the fish that get shipped ups, etc.
