I have only recently added a sump to my system. The only living things I plan to have in it are some macroalgae (chaeto, plus?) and whatever pods they support. Right now it has nothing alive in it.
I'm interested in the cheapest adequate way to light the sump. I don't want to scrimp to the point of inadequacy, but I want to keep the bill down as much as possible.
