Halp, it appears to have some dark spot forming in the middle and there's a tiny hole on the right side of the top face.

P.S. parameters are all pretty good.

Might be splitting. Leathers can be sensitive to aluminum as well. Are you running any phosban or anything?

No I'm not. But I did have a bag of some phosphate something or other when I was dealing with a dino outbreak. Is that the same thing?
I really only know of seachem products doing it, ones that can have aluminum oxide. Is it still in the tank? If it’s out, then your ok. If not, I’d take it out and see if it changes anything. Aluminum leaching would more likely close the leather up than what your seeing here. Just food for thought in case.

Yeah, I haven't had it in there for several months.

Better pic. Not doing great. I did an iodine dip about 4 weeks ago.
Parameters:
11/10
Phosphates 1.0
Alkalinity 10.9
pH 8.0
Nitrate 20
Magnesium 1280
Calcium 420

I’m not sure if phosphate that high would annoy softies. I run 0.02 and I know things get annoyed at .08-.1. I think my tank would crash at 1.0

Just did the KFC dip to try and save this thing. The GD ehiem heater is set to 74 cooked it to 84. Hopefully i didn't kill it. Wish me luck. This was one of the first corals I got and the last one standing so I'd hate to lose it.
