Ich treatment recommendations

Unfortunately one of my fish has Ich.
If possible, I would like to avoid setting up a quarantine but i do have a tank that i can use. I have a UV sterilizer on the way. I was wondering if anyone has used a non-copper or non dye-based treatment such as...

BTW, it is a Regal Tang and it eats more than all the other fish. Aside from the white spots it appears to be a perfectly healthy fish.

Regal Tang's are prone to catching ich. I experienced it once with my regal tang. I panic the morning I saw it. I went to work and stop by marine designs and picked up some copper. By the time I got back from work the Regal Tang was swimming around with the rest of the fish. I didn't want to stress it out, and decided to wait it out. It got better each an every day. It eventually went away on it's own. That's my experience specifically on the REGAL TANG. When other batches of fish caught it, I used garlic, cod liver oil, LFS medication to add into food. That worked real well. I dosed it for about 2 weeks. Results are fast.

Soak your food in Garlic Guard, put a little bit of metro and focus on the food. Do it every day for two weeks. Don't put that stuff in the water, just on the frozen food. Let the stuff soak in. You should be fine. It seems like Regals just get it no matter what. Its totally ok if he is eating and going about his business. Just relax and do it.

I agree! Best method, in my opinion for getting rid of ich!!:thumbs:

Thanks all. Are there any LFS on the Northeast side that have these products and willing to stay open after 6PM or so. I'm in Winder and willing to travel an hour but i don't get off work til 5.

Get a cleaner shrimp... when he's out of ich, he can clean your cuticles.

I got some you can have bro. Stop on by one day and I can give you a two week supply. I'll be home tomorrow night if you want to stop by them.
