All of a sudden there was Ich on all my fish. Took them out and put them in a fresh water dip then put them in my 110 that is currently cycling with some quick cure med. Now doing a 25 perc water change in the 72 and put Kordon Ich treatment in the 72 and lowerd the saltinity in it as well. Meanwhile the are in the 110 that is not cycled yet. The 72 is so cloudy from them rubbing on the sand I was afraid to put them back in. Took out all the live rock in the 72 while treating. Hope I didnt make things worse. Some of the Ich has already disappeared of the fish.

Wow!! Take it a little slower next time!! If your 11O isn't cycled i wouldn't suggest putting fish in there either. I do suggest using metronidazole and focus(mix it with there food) and leave them in there tank next time. Usually moving fish will stress them even more and make it worse. Patience and proper medications will go a long way!! Good luck

+1 Ralph, slow down with everything your doing. If it were me, id move them back to the 72 and keep the lights off, feed heavy, and keep up with water changes. Good Luck...

did a water change in the 72 and now going to get some ph buffer to get it right it is at 7.8 right now. Going to do another freshwater dip then put them back into the 72. All Ich is off the Niger trigger, 2 clowns and bird wrasse and still is bad on the picasso trigger and stars and stripes puffer.

Just means the cysts have fallen off the fish, not that its gone. Slow down all this mess, you're just going to stress the fish out even more. Read...

did not dip them again. put them back in the 72. they all are doing fine now except the bird wrasse. dont think he is going to make it. I prob did more harm than good by stressing them. they have treatment in the water and going to wait and see what happens. I dont have a qt and dont have the cash to get one right now. Was trying to use the new 110g as a qt which was dumb cause it is still cycling. medicating with kordon rid ich plus.

Also keep in mind that the ich you saw yesterday isnt gone today. Even if you're not seeing any spots.

Only been doing saltwater tanks for about a year now. I have made many expensive mistakes and hope these guys will make it. My LFS said to do a 75% water change and put them back in the 72 which I did. They are medicated as directed and hopefully they pull through. Hopefully work will pick back up so I can get a QT incase this happens again. What really freaked me out was a white paste that had developed yesterday in the tank and all stuck inside the HOB filter inside the canister filter and all the tubing. Looked like liquified ceramic. It stuck to everything. Wasnt too sure if it was from them stirring up the the sand and crushed coral or what it was. So that combined with the ich I moved them out of the tank temporary until I took care of my white slime problem. I have a small 3 gallon tank but that is way too small for a QT tank.

Edit:

Medicines that claim to be reef safe either are not or don't work.

Save your money on the Kordon Ich treatment. I bought 2 large bottles and it didn't work.

the bird wrasse is laying on the bottom of the tank not eating or moving. taking rapid breaths. I am sure it is a matter of hrs for him now. all the others are acting normal now.

This fish are doing very well now. No signs of ich and they are swimming around as normal. Will be continuing to treat with Ich Plus from Kordon. This stuff seems to be working very well with no ill effects on the fish. I am getting a 30 gallons soon to set up as a QT very soon. TY for all your help.

I hate to say this, but the ich is probably just going through its cycle and will be back within the next few days...I strongly urge you to go buy some metronidazole, focus, and Garlic Guard!! I have gone through all of this before, thinking they were getting better then all of a sudden, it was back!

the ich never cam back. but my niger trigger decided to bite my bird wrasse and she lived only a few days after RIP poor girl.
