ID egg cases

I have found small transparent cases with 10 or so little eggs? on the glass of my tank. The cases are oval with flattened areas at both ends. The case is about .5 cm in length. I wish I had a camera good enough to take a pic of them. Any idea what these might be? There must be at least 30 of these cases on the glass.

Most likely they are snail eggs (from your description anyway). However, without a picture it is impossible to know for sure.

I watched my Nassarius snail lay the egg cases yesterday. She's been busy. They are all over the glass and some have hatched. I hope some survive being fish food. I only bought 6 of them, so home grown ones would be nice.
