What is this that is attached to a rock? Not the blue mushroom - but the purple and white striped thing.

Possibly a pest anemone. Looks like a majano anemone to me.

Looks like a majano to me as well. I've seen some tanks that were carpeted with them. I would try to kill it with a syringe with lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide or try to kill it with kalkwasser paste.

I learned to wear safety glasses when fragging, especially with soft corals.

Was wearing glasses and gloves etc- the squirt just happened to fly over my protective gear and my bad luck landed in corner of my eye- fortunately my buddy is an ophthalmologist so he is seeing me and treating (( burns like crazy

Antibiotic ointment being applied in eye every two hours. Helping with the pain and should stop any infection from the coral bacteria we hope.
