ID on SPS

I noticed this black spot on my SPS this morning... I have never seen this before... but it doesn't look good. It is on the bottom right branch of the frag. (sorry for the poor pic)

Any ideas what this may be?

I can't tell anything from the pic...

It looks like a circular black scar (almost like it was burned, but obviously that would mean it was white).

Just trim it off if you can.
