So one night before going to bed i saw a piece of this guy hiding in a rock and wasnt quite sure what he was. I checked the hitchhikers guide but couldnt distinguish....btw, sorry for the crappy iphone pic but i pulled him out the tank regardsless

Looks like a bristleworm to me. Harmless. Good sand janitor. Don't pet it though, it stings

There are likely more where that one came from.

Thanks Jenn, the rock actually went into the return drain on my sump but i did notife some small feather dusters on there as well..
