Just got this piece and not really sure what it is. Smooth very brittle and purple. It almost looks like coraline algae but in this shape. No polyps that I've noticed just smooth all over?

Yup that's it, thanks! I've been doing this for several years now and still learning stuff all the time. Well I know were to find tons of this stuff hehe.

I wonder f it spreads like other coralline algae , you may have it all over your tank in no time if its in high flow.
