ID this pest/critter

This thing is about 1/4" long. I found it on the base of a LPS Colony.

I think so, but there are MANY kinds of flatworms. This has been in a tank with only ricordea, Duncan, and fathead dendro for weeks, so we can rule out the kind that feed on SPS.
 
Your typical flatworms that eat LPS/mushrooms look like this

I think it's a chiton! Harmless grazer.

I think I owe the little guy an apology and to return him safely to the aquarium.
 
I have a ton of the beige brown kinds. The multiply really fast once they settle in and they can grow really big. They do a good job of cleaning the glass under the sand bed, so definitely a nice hitchhiker to have.
 
They are similar to snails. Great grazers/cleaners. Harmless.
