ideas for hanging pendant from wall not ceiling

HI:

I am interested in hanging a pendant over a 90 gallon tank from the wall and not from the ceiling. Does anyone have any ideas for brackets that can be mounted to the wall to hang a pendant? If so, where did you purchase them from? Thank you in advance.

Get some metal shelf brackets or wrought iron plant hangers from home depot. They make them large enough, just get them in beam.

Shelf brackets may work if you can find them big enough. Could also have a bracket made from metal or wood, there are quite a few craftsman on the site here.

Both IKEA and HD carry brackets that work, both in wood and metal.
Way too many choices here...

I like the plant hanger idea. If it were me, I'd be worried how the brackets would look, and with the plant hangers, you could get something stylish. Just be sure to mount them to the studs in your wall. Not sure how big the lights are that you're hanging, but I'd be worried about the stress on the sheet rock.

Just saw a sweet setup like this at Darren24's place. My wife was commenting on how much she liked it. He said he stole the idea from Acroholic. Might want to hit them up as they are running their pendants this way.

Thanks everyone! I like the plant hanger idea. Could I put this into a cinder block wall...not sheet rock? I would like it to look aesthetically pleasing.

I don't see why you couldn't put it into a cinder block wall, you'd just need the right tools, and I'm not sure what those are.

Yes similar to Johnr just painted mine the color of my walls to blend in.
