Ok well i had 2 green chromis and a bar goby all were doing perfectly fine water is still checking out after 2 weeks. One of my chromis went up the filter tube and needless to say didn't come out alive haha. Well i put the screen on the bottom of the tube and now its fixed. My question is what fish can I look at adding next.

Would like it to be hardy obviously.
Tank is 29 gal. FOWLR
I would like to eventually get clowns but not yet.
Something with some color and something that is gonna be neat to watch.
I am open to shrimp Decorator crabs starfish you know anything What do you guys have in mind??

I would get a cool looking wrasse, like a lunar wrasse, or sixline

Flame Hawkfish are great... I personally like the Royal Gramma

I wouldn't recomend a decorator crab. They tend to tear up corals and such in order to disguise themselves. I do, however recomend:

Sexy shrimp (very small, but a blast to watch)
I love my skunk cleaner shrimp. he's almost always out in the open.
I like my scarlet shrimp, but he tends to hide
Pom pom crabs are a must if you don't have too many hiding places in your rock work. I had mine in a nano and saw him all the time. Now i hardley ever see him in my 75.
I probably wouldn't recomend a six-line until last. They like to swim a lot and can become mean to any new additions. That's why I no longer have mine.
I recomend getting your clowns next. Then you can see what they do to your bioload and go from there.

Best of luck.

Cameron - he's talking about the number of posts the two of you have. For a little while you had the top number of posts and he's since taken it back. I assume he's just trying to humor us all. :lol2:

As far as another fish to add, I have a sixline wrasse and a royal gramma. Both are good looking fish, but my wrasse seems to have more of a personality.

Bah Doug, you know Cam knows what he's talking about... that's what makes it funny :).

Anyways, you should put a plan together on what fish you want in your tank... and put the least aggressive fishie in there first. Since its going to be a FOWLR, add the fish that we reefers cannot! There are a ton of wrasse I wish I could add to my tank, like the lunare that was mentioned above. They get too large though for a tank of your size. I've always wanted a dwarf lionfish... :)

Yeah I kind of figured that, but I took the bait (like the newbie I am. :) )

If it were me, I would go with either a flame hawk, or a long nose hawk... Maybe a Jawfish... They are fund to watch but you need a DSB for them.

I agree with the above, I love my Sexy Shrimp and Pom-Pom (although I never see my new Pom-Pom in my 55 gal.)

A purple psudochromis is a nice fish for a 29...

I love royal grammas....a little scketchy on the personality thing but they are fun and beautiful fish....and if you ever look at your tank at night and you happen to find his sleeping spot you'll be amazed at how they sleep.....

I also have a six line and their personality is alot of fun as well.....especially when they flex....

Oh how does he sleep? My blue tang wedges herself in a crevice and I have NO clue how she does it every night.

Good! Make sure you stick with that plan, and don't get the cute lil fish that grows into a reallllly big fish :).
