Is this some kind of worm? Not even sure it's alive, it's hard and strongly stuck to the bottom of this Monti frag I picked up recently. Any name I can research, should i be worried? Thanks

If it’s hard, it’s likely a vermatid snail. Harmless.
I agree that it looks like a vermatid but not that they are completely harmless. I hate the things. They're pretty gross and unsightly. I had ONE for months before I knew what it was... in the last two months I've apparently introduced more and they are spreading. I break them off every chance I get. Tiny ones are fine, once they get a little larger use a tool to break them off, they can be sharp.
