I am paranoid after round after round of ICH, gorrilla crab hitch hikers eating fish and arrow crab, tank crash from unknown chemical or something introduced from store water, my flame angel died suddenly with no warning, something got me on the hand and caused a massive severe full body rash allergic reaction, i blame the creepy turbo snails that have extras. My point is that I look at any and everything and wonder if it's safe or not or what it is in general if google provides no answers. If anyone can tell me what it is, if it's bad, if bad how to get rid of it and that I am not the only one that studies every rock, granule, snail and fish making sure things appear ok lol.

I have a snail with feather dusters growing all over it. Kinda cool, but am i not seeing something that isn't safe like a crab or something lurking in or on shell?
What algae looks gray in color like dust on rocks in tiny hair patches that I have brushed away over and over but swarms our tank? I just removed majority and overnight a fresh new layer arrived grrrrr.
Also have little fan disc button looking things popping up like fans that are hard round with a white center.

Honestly nothing that you have pictured or described seems harmful to me. First picture I'm assuming is your algae, can't really tell what that is but how is your clean up crew? Could just be detritus that isn't being cleared and settles on all over your tank like snow. Second picture I'm guessing is the feather dusters, they are harmless. Third looks like a skeleton of perhaps a plate coral which probably has some sort of filter feeder living in it now. and the last picture I'm not really sure what is supposed to be there, I see a snail and a serpent starfish arm. Hope this helps, I'm sure there are lots more little critters hiding in your tank most will be harmless. Sorry doesn't answer your question about why your flame died. Fully body "rash" sounds like it might have been a bacterial infection.

I agree with Cantare00. And I agree with dball711, looks like the snail has a few barnacles on it.

None if that is considered harmful.

After your rash experience, I can totally understand being wary of anything and everything in the tank.

Respectfully - I'm sure they're barnacles. Very small ones, but they are way too symmetrical to be fanworms. If you're seeing them 'fanning' ... sweeping in and out, then they're live barnacles.

It's good to looks so closely at all this stuff in your tank, and though I understand your worries after your recent troubles I prefer to do this and be in awe of the amazing diversity of the undersea world. Some things will get you, or your livestock, but most of it is harmless and pretty cool. Beef up your cleaning crew a bit, and maybe consider some fish that will potentially police the tank for any bad influence creatures and I'm sure things will be just fine
