If you started all over again, what would you do differently?

start with sand not 'Marine' gravel.

buy all my equipment used instead of new to save on costs.
Buy everything before i start wishing i stayed with my tropical tank for another year while i simply bought up all the equiptment/lighting i needed.

Decided what to stock it with fully before starting.

Start with the sump installed not attach one 6 months after starting.
