I recently acquired some purple ribbon (or tree) gorgonias...Eunicea</em> sp.,I think. I know nothing about them, but have them in an area if high water flow and have been feeding them phytoplankton every couple of days. They have their polyps(?) extended and look healthy. Can someone point me in the direction of some good information about them.

Thanks,

John

I believe that kind are photosynthetic, so you shouldn't need to feed them if you have decent lighting.

I've got one as well as a number of other photosynthetic gorgonians. I feed phyto occasionally but they're really doin fine without special care. Originally under vho lights and now under t5's.

It's the colorful ones (yellow, red, etc.) that are difficult to keep.
